YOUTHFUL SPIRIT
THANK YOU !!!
Last Sunday’s Book Fair was an absolutely fantastic success.
We were blessed with perfect weather, 1000’s of books and lots of avidreaders.
The Madrid Pilgrims want to thank everyone involved:
People who donated books, those who did the letter box drop, those who put up the posters, helped sort books, helped set up, those who worked all dayand those who helped pack up.
We are very pleased to inform you that the event raised $2101, absolutely surpassing our expectations.
Even though we raised over $2000 we still have 1000s of book left.
We are currently contacting secondhand book dealers and plan to have stall at both Parramatta markets and Blacktown markets.
We are donating the remaining children’s books, all the encyclopedias and reference books to the Sony Foundation who are organizing a book drive to send books to the underprivileged Children of South Africa, as part of the South Africa Mobile Library Project.
When we are ready to deliver the books we will be looking for somebody with a ute or trailer who is available during the week to help deliver the books to North Ryde.
Once again thank you all !!! Jane

RCIA
Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults
This weekend, at the 10:00am Mass, we will be celebrating the Rite of Acceptance into the Order of Catechumens. What does this mean? It means that those who, during this year, have been thinking of joining our Catholic Community will assemble publicly for the first time to be welcomed and accepted by us as persons who intend to become one with our community. It is a time of conversion for them and for all of us. It is a journey that we take together. Our community responsibility and individual responsibility is to welcome them, befriend them, journey with them and pray for them.
HAPPY FATHER’S DAY!
