We can all remember Sydney in 2008, the Cross and Icon visited our parish. The sight of Danish pilgrims walking over to the parish from Pendle Hill station, our welcoming barbeque and daily lunches, and the red and yellow supplies delivered to us. We're sure you tuned into the final mass! No one in Sydney could escape the spirit and enthusiasm of the Catholic youth of the world, whether you were a pilgrim , host family, volunteer, greeter, or simply encountered them going about your daily activities. Can you imagine the experiences and memories that will be created by attending WYD in Spain?
Well the count down has begun, the fundraising committee has been formed and the names of interested youth are being collected.
As with past World Youth Days the parish will be helping some youth get to Madrid, through a sponsorship program.
